90's - Y2K's inspired.
As a child, I was drawn to color, form, and typography. I spent hours collecting and arranging magazine clippings on my bedroom walls, an early expression of the creative curiosity that would later define my practice.
My work is heavily influenced by the visual and cultural landscape of the 1990s and early 2000s. I grew up immersed in Cartoon Network and Nickelodeon cartoons, whose bold color palettes, expressive characters, experimental typography, and hand-drawn textures left a lasting impression on me. These visuals shaped how I understand storytelling through design.
Alongside these influences, I developed a deep appreciation for music that was before my time—artists like TLC, Boyz II Men, and The Isley Brothers, particularly the sounds of the ’90s and Y2K era. The rhythm, emotion, and atmosphere of this music closely parallel the visual language of the cartoons I loved, informing the mood and energy present in my work.
I feel a strong connection to this period, and my practice often incorporates elements of its creative history. By blending nostalgia with a contemporary perspective, I aim to create work that feels both familiar and reimagined.
